Projects I worked on:

  1. Energizing Education

The Energizing Education Programme (EEP) is an initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN), to provide sustainable and clean power supply to 37 Federal Universities and 7 University Teaching Hospitals across Nigeria. The project includes the provision of an independent power plant, upgrading existing distribution infrastructure, street lighting to improve security within the universities’ campuses, as well as the development of a world class training centre on renewable energy for each university. The project is being implemented by the REA and developed in Phases. Phase 1 will deliver 28.5MW to 9 Federal Universities and 1 University Teaching Hospital, using solar hybrid and/or gas-fired captive power plants.

  2. Energizing Economies
The Energizing Economies Initiative (EEI) is a Federal Government of Nigeria initiative implemented by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) that aims to support the rapid deployment of off-grid electricity solutions to MSME’s in economic clusters (such as markets, shopping complexes and agricultural/industrial clusters), through private sector developers.

  3. Mini grids

The Minigrids project includes the Performance Based Grant (PBG) where communities are identified, verified and sensitized by mini grid developers and they may also use this window to support development of pre-planned projects in their portfolios; and the Minimum Subsidy Tender (MST) to electrify pre-selected communities that have high economic growth potential though a competitive tender.
